 Seibu Transportation
Company, founded in 1944, is one of the largest enterprises of its kind
in Japan having a history of nearly sixty years in the transportation
field with a current standing of over 3,300 employees and more than 400
business locations in all parts of Japan. Although the trucking line is
the main business of Seibu Transportation Company, it also operates as
an agent for domestic airfreight, consolidator of international air &
ocean freight, customs house broker, warehousing, household moving, non-life
insurance agency, packing & crating, and other related services. |

 In 1960,
Seibu Transportation Co., Ltd. International Freight Division was the
first agent in Japan to acquire the qualifications of an IATA agent and
was thus contracted as an exclusive agent by the airlines association.
Furthermore, in the same year, it also acquired a license as a customs
house broker in Tokyo, Yokohama, Nagoya, Osaka and Fukuoka and initiated
their customs clearance service for both import and export freights including
marine transport cargo. |

 As a
wholly owned branch office of Seibu Transportation Company of Japan,
Seibu Transportation USA was established in 1962 in response to the
growing demands in meeting transportation needs. The first office was
opened in New York City and in the following years, other offices were
opened in Los Angeles, Chicago, Atlanta and San Francisco.
Seibu Transportation USA provides clients with global transportation systems and logistic solutions.
